Virtual Clinics
Virtual clinics (digital public health platforms) are designed to provide teleconsultations and patient monitoring at all levels of the Public Health Service Network, thereby improving access to medical care throughout the Republic of Croatia, especially in rural and island areas. The implementation of virtual clinics significantly facilitates patients access to professional consultations and therapy, reduces the workload in traditional medical institutions and contributes to solving the lack of medical staff issue in less developed areas. In addition, it increases the availability of healthcare and improves the process of continuous patient monitoring. The platform is integrated into the Centre for Shared Services, which guarantees secure communication and data exchange within the platform.
