Short project description

Due to the great mobility of healthcare workers in the field of emergency medicine, the expansion of the Emergency Medicine Network and the observed shortcomings in the knowledge and skills of nurses working in emergency department, there is a need to introduce new training exercises and implement them more intensively so that all who enter and work in the system are educated as soon as possible for the needs of emergency patients.  During the project new contents of the existing training programmes will be defined and the existing contents will be aligned with the new guidelines. Training will be conducted through a total of 62 courses through five training programmes (EP): EP1 for medical dispatchers, EP2 for doctors as well as nurses in pre-hospital emergency medical service, EP3 for pre-hospital emergency medical service drivers, EP4 for workers performing triage in emergency medicine and EP5 for nurses in emergency departments. Separate two-course training will be held for future new national instructors. The target project group covers emergency medicine workers, and final users of emergency medicine services, which, according to law, must be equally accessible to all citizens in the Republic of Croatia.
