From 24 to 27 October 2019, Crikvenica hosted the exercise of the EP1 training programme for dispatchers of medical dispatch units held within the project Continuing professional training of emergency medicine workers. The professionals of the Istria, Karlovac, Lika-Senj, Sisak-Moslavina and Primorje-Gorski Kotar county institutes of emergency medicine through lectures and exercises by national instructors led by leader Senka Štrbo were trained according to the new programme and acquire valuable knowledge and skills which will improve the reception of emergency medical calls.

The project Continuing professional training of emergency medicine workers is co-financed by resources from the European Social Fund and implemented by the Croatian Institute of Emergency Medicine with the aim of maintaining and improving the knowledge and skills of emergency medicine workers, while at the same time advancing healthcare in the Republic of Croatia and improving access to high quality health services.
